KANSAS CITY, Kan.–LAWFUEL – Law News, Law Jobs –EPIQ Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:EPIQ) has named Timothy B. Corcoran as Managing Director for the Class Action and Claims Administration Solutions business headquartered in metropolitan Portland, Oregon. Mr. Corcoran will have general management responsibility for this business unit.

EPIQ Systems entered the class action and mass tort market with the acquisition of Poorman-Douglas on January 31, 2004. This market affords the company important future growth potential, and the addition of Mr. Corcoran strengthens the executive management team and the sales capabilities of the business.

Mr. Corcoran has been a Vice President of LexisNexis since 2003. His most recent positions were Vice President Sales/Client Development and Vice President/General Manager Martindale-Hubbell. He earned a BA degree from St. Bonaventure University and an MBA from Rutgers University.

As inducement to enter into an employment arrangement, EPIQ Systems granted Mr. Corcoran a 10-year stock option to purchase 100,000 shares of common stock at an exercise price equal to the closing price of the company’s common stock on the grant date. The option, granted outside of EPIQ System’s 2004 Equity Incentive Plan, vests over five years.

As previously announced in a press release on October 4, 2006, the company named William Carter as Managing Director with general management responsibilities for the Electronic Discovery business located in New York City. The Company also granted Mr. Carter an inducement stock option to purchase 100,000 shares of common stock to serve as Managing Director of the company’s Electronic Discovery business. The grant to Mr. Carter was also a 10-year stock option at an exercise price equal to the closing price of the company’s common stock on the grant date. The option, granted outside of EPIQ System’s 2004 Equity Incentive Plan, vests over five years.
