Lawfuel.com – Saddam Hussein Execution – Reports have surfaced of the arrest of a witness to the execution of Saddam Hussein. Reports indicate that one man has been arrested after recording the hanging on his cellphone, although other reports indicate that at least two guards who attended the hanging were under arrest.
The leaked and unauthorized cell phone video, in which some of those present can be heard to taunt Saddam in the final moments of his life, set off an uproar both inside and outside Iraq.
U.S. officials had questioned conducting the execution on a Muslim festival day and as well as the manner in which the execution was conducted. However, stokesmen said all decisions regarding the execution of Saddam were based on Iraqi considerations.
