(April 2, 2007, Princeton, NJ) – LAWFUEL – Reed Smith LLP, one of the 15 largest law firms in the world, announces the addition of Theodore D. Aden as a partner in its Financial Services Litigation Group in the firm’s Princeton office, effective immediately.

“We are exceptionally pleased to have Ted join our firmwide Financial Services Litigation Group,” said Perry A. Napolitano, Reed Smith’s firmwide Practice Group Leader for Financial Services Litigation. “Ted will be instrumental in helping to continue to grow and round out the strong Financial Services Litigation practice in our Princeton office, and we expect his commercial and consumer litigation contacts will help us expand our financial services litigation practices in both New Jersey and New York.”

Mr. Aden was previously a partner in the National Litigation Practice at Epstein Becker & Green PC, Newark, prior to which he was a partner at LeBoeuf Lamb Green & MacRae, Newark. He has significant experience in litigating complex commercial and corporate cases, including the representation of clients across a wide range of industries such as insurance, banking and manufacturing.

“Reed Smith’s litigation team is among the preeminent financial services practices in the country,” said Mr. Aden. “I am looking forward to being a part of this team and know that I can contribute to both its international arbitration practice and class action litigation capabilities. I can’t imagine a better place to expand my practice or a stronger group of lawyers with whom to collaborate.”

Mr. Aden’s trial experience extends to defending class actions involving consumer fraud, ERISA and securities claims; litigating insurance coverage issues, commercial contract disputes including derivative contract issues, environmental law cases, product liability and other tort matters, and ERISA claims; and arguing appeals before several U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals.

“Service to the financial services industry has been a key driver of Reed Smith’s growth in New Jersey for more than a dozen years,” said Patrick Bradley, Reed Smith’s Office Managing Partner in Princeton. “The addition of Ted demonstrates our ongoing focus on delivering what these key clients need. We are pleased to have him on Reed Smith’s team.”

A 1978 graduate of Rutgers Law School, Mr. Aden is a member of the bars of New York and New Jersey and serves on the Board of Directors of the Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey. He received his BA degree from Duke University in 1975.
