LAWFUEL – The Law Firm Newswire – In months-long plotting and secrecy worthy of a John Grisham novel, seven prominent attorneys in one of the Triad’s largest law firms defected early Tuesday morning and had their new firm up and running later that day.
The attorneys, who made up the bulk of Nexsen Pruet Adams Kleemeier’s business law practice, first e-mailed their resignations to the regional firm’s managing partner in Columbia, S.C. Then they tearfully said goodbye to their stunned colleagues at their Green Valley office and headed downtown to their new space in the Wachovia tower on Greene Street.(Regn. required).
