A former partner and head of the real estate practice at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, Pomerantz joins Orrick from private equity real estate investment company ERE Advisors LLC, where he was Co-CEO and President and a member of the company’s Investment Committee.

A leading real estate lawyer in the New York community, Pomerantz was the chair of Weil Gotshal’s global property and finance practice group for 11 years as well as a member of its firmwide global management committee and its New York pro bono committee. He has represented many of the preeminent global private equity investors, investment banks, financial institutions and real estate developers in large and complex real estate transactions, including equity joint ventures, project developments, acquisitions, public and private financings, and restructurings. Among his many community activities, Pomerantz is a member of the Executive Committee and Advisory Board of the Real Estate Institute of New York University and has cochaired its annual Capital Markets and Pension Fund Investment Conference for more than ten years. He is a board member of the Furman Center, a joint research center of the New York University Law School and the NYU. Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, which addresses issues of low-income and affordable housing.
