LAWFUEL – UK Legal Newswire – The trial of six men charged in connection with one of the most extensive investigations carried out by the Met’s Anti-Corruption Team will begin at Southwark CC on 3/9/07.

The defendants are:
[A] Jeremy Howard YOUNG (7.5.67 – 40 ys), a former MPS PC, of Ilford, Essex, is charged with aiding and abetting misconduct in a public office.

[B] Scott GELSTHORPE (18.9.74 – 32 ys), a former MPS officer, of Kettering, Northants, is charged with aiding and abetting misconduct in a public office.

[P] Gordon BUCHER (21.10.53 – 53 ys), a private investigator, of Hereford is charged with aiding and abetting misconduct in a public office.

[V] John Michael MATTHEWS (12.9.47 – 59 ys) a former Detective Sgt with Staffordshire Police, is charged with misconduct in a public office.

[Z] Gary FLANAGAN (20.4.64 – 43 ys) a private investigator and ex-Detective Constable with Saffordshire Police, of Hereford Avenue, Clayton, Newcastle-under-Lyme is charged with aiding and abetting misconduct in a public office.

[A1] Anthony WOOD (12.10.42 – 64 ys), a private investigator and an ex-Detective Sgt with Staffordshire Police, of Aldershaw Close, Parkside, Stafford is charged with aiding and abetting misconduct in a public office.
