Foley Expands National Litigation Capabilities with Addition of Two Partners in Washington, D.C.

New Partners Strengthen the Firm’s Antitrust and Government Enforcement Bench and Advance Strategic Growth on the East Coast

Foley & Lardner LLP announced today that it has expanded its Litigation Department with the addition of Jason Levine and Teresa Taylor as partners in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Levine joins the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Practice Group, while Taylor joins the firm’s Government Enforcement Defense & Investigations (GEDI) Practice Group.

“As Foley continues to grow with purpose, we are focused on building a nationally integrated, cross-disciplinary platform that delivers high-impact legal solutions in strategically important markets,” said Daljit Doogal, Foley chairman and CEO. “Jason’s antitrust and trial experience, paired with Teresa’s insight into regulatory enforcement and sanctions, immediately deepens our litigation capabilities. Their arrival strengthens our bench in Washington, D.C. and along the East Coast, reinforcing the firm’s position as a premier destination for high-stakes litigation and enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional service to clients facing complex challenges.”

Levine brings three decades of combined experience as a first-chair trial attorney and litigation finance executive, with a national practice focused on complex antitrust and commercial litigation. He joins Foley from Omni Bridgeway, a global litigation finance firm, where he established and led its Washington, D.C. office, managed investments involving billion-dollar business disputes, and directed U.S. antitrust strategy. Prior to that, Levine spent more than 25 years in private practice at multinational law firms, representing Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes antitrust class actions and competitor suits across a range of sectors. He has served as lead counsel in more than a dozen trials and arbitrations, secured more than $3 billion in relief for corporate plaintiffs, and helped defendants avoid over $17 billion in potential liability.

“I was drawn to Foley for its leading antitrust and commercial litigation practices and the firm’s ability to grow strategically while preserving its renowned collegial culture,” said Levine. “This move is a perfect fit for my background as an antitrust and complex commercial trial lawyer. Foley is truly a destination firm, and I’m excited to work with my new colleagues to serve our clients’ diverse needs.”

Taylor, who joins Foley from Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP, focuses her practice on trade sanctions and export controls, with extensive experience defending executives, corporations, and their owners in investigations involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Commerce, Department of Treasury, Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory bodies. She has led high-stakes litigation and secured favorable outcomes in matters involving national security laws, international trade restrictions, foreign corruption, and money laundering. Taylor’s experience also includes corporate investigations, financial services regulation, government, compliance, and litigation strategy.

“Foley’s national platform and collaborative culture create an ideal environment to grow my practice and support clients navigating today’s evolving regulatory landscape,” said Taylor. “The firm’s strength in government enforcement defense and its commitment to building depth in trade sanctions and export controls made this a clear next step. I’m excited to join the talented litigation and GEDI team and contribute to Foley’s continued growth in Washington, D.C. and across the country.”
