His practice encompasses complex construction and engineering disputes (power station construction/performance, large building projects, earthquake litigation). Recent high-profile work includes lead counsel for CPB Contractors in Parakiore (Christchurch Indoor Sports Centre) injunction proceedings and counsel for the Buttle family in Whakaari White Island judicial review.
His authorship of The Bona Fide Investor: Corporate Nationality and Treaty Shopping in Investment Treaty Law (Kluwer, 2022) and co-authorship of the NZBA Access to Justice Report (2018) with Maria Dew KC demonstrate systemic reform commitment.
