Hesketh Henry has appointed Simon Gray as a partner to lead our banking and finance practice and further strengthen our capabilities across key sectors.
Simon joins from MinterEllisonRuddWatts, where he was a Special Counsel. He brings substantial international experience, having previously served as a Local Principal in the finance and projects team at Baker & McKenzie in Singapore, and earlier practised in London with Herbert Smith.

At Hesketh Henry, he will lead specialist banking and finance work, with a particular focus on structuring and advising on complex project lending.
His experience complements the firm’s sector-focused practices in construction & infrastructure, commercial property, corporate & commercial, Māori business, and trade & transport, supporting integrated advice on transactions where financing and underlying project requirements must be closely aligned, and risk allocation and certainty are critical.
