Our Legal Services Group are highly professional, motivated and provide timely, high quality legal advice and advocacy services to the Ministry. We are one of the largest legal teams in the country.
This position offers the successful applicant considerable court experience, client contact, work/life balance and the opportunity to make a difference. Your primary focus is to provide advocacy in the Family Court and advice, assistance and training concerning care and protection, youth justice, and adoption.
The ideal person is pragmatic, solution focused and shows initiative. An ability to develop and maintain successful client relationships is essential as is litigation experience. Existing knowledge of care and protection and youth justice provisions of the Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act would be an advantage.
