As part of the Paul Fuller Memorial Programme, the London office is supporting a charity called Kids Company. As well as fundraising, CB London will also be undertaking pro bono work for the charity.

On Thursday 22 January 2004, Coudert Brothers is sponsoring an evening reception for Kids Company, to be held at the House of Commons. This will be hosted by two Members of Parliament and the Guest of Honour is Cherie Booth QC, wife of the British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The event will be attended by various representatives of industry (including CB clients), the media and individuals and is aimed at current and future supporters.

Kids Company was set up in recognition of the needs of lone children and was established in 1996. The aim of the charity is “to deliver emotional and pratical support within structures which are directly accessible by children – and not dependent on a carer making the commitment to seek help on their behalf”. You can find more information about the charity at www.kidsco.org.uk.
