1 October 2004 LAWFUEL – Best law news, legal, attorney, law firm newsClifford Chance today announced that litigation partner Stephen Lewis will
retire at the end of October after a long and distinguished career with the
firm. Stephen has been a recognised leading reinsurance lawyer for 20 years
and a partner in the firm’s insurance/reinsurance litigation practice since
1985.

Following his retirement from Clifford Chance Stephen will be joining Clyde
& Co as a consultant to help further develop their reinsurance arbitration
practice.

Nicholas Munday, Group Leader of the insurance/reinsurance Litigation Group,
said ‘Stephen has made an invaluable contribution to the development of the
group and to the firm over many years, and is a much respected partner. We
all wish Stephen well in his new venture at Clyde & Co.’

Stephen joined Clifford Chance in 1980, and has specialised in insurance and
reinsurance arbitration, litigation and advisory work.

The Clifford Chance insurance/reinsurance practice will continue to be led
by Terry O’Neill and Nicholas Munday. The UK practice has 7 partners and
24 lawyers, and a number of leading practitioners. With 130 lawyers
worldwide, the group is firmly established as a leader in its field, and has
market-leading practices in London, New York, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt and Hong
Kong.
