New York, January 3, 2005 – LAWFUEL – Best for law news – Baker & McKenzie LLP announced today that transfer-pricing lawyer Darrin Litsky has joined the New York office as a partner. Mr. Litsky’s appointment strengthens the North America Tax Practice and complements the Firm’s broader Global Transfer Pricing Practice.
Mr. Litsky has over fifteen years of professional accounting and tax experience in major law firm practice, Big Four accounting firm practice, industry as in-house Tax Counsel, and the Internal Revenue Service. Most recently, Mr. Litsky practiced at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

From 1996 to 2000, Mr. Litsky was an attorney advisor with the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Associate Chief Counsel International in Washington, DC. There, Mr. Litsky practiced in its Advance Pricing Agreement (APA) Program, where he was responsible for leading transfer pricing discussions and negotiating APAs with multinational enterprises. In addition, Mr. Litsky participated in bilateral APA negotiations with foreign tax authorities. Including both private and government practice, Mr. Litsky has worked on over 70 APA requests or approximately 10% of all APA requests received by the APA Program since its inception.
Mr. Litsky has been an active member of American Bar Association Tax Section’s Transfer Pricing Committee and is the current chair of the APA Subcommittee.

Mr. Litsky is a member of the District of Columbia bar and a certified public accountant. He earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993 and a B.S. in Economics, magna cum laude, from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, in 1986.
