February 7, 2005, Newark, NJ – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network –Reed Smith LLP, a top-25 international law firm, today announces the addition of Susan Storch to its Business Immigration Practice Group, effective February 1. Ms. Storch will work from the firm’s Newark office.

Ms. Storch joins Reed Smith from Sills Cummis Epstein & Gross, PC, in Newark, New Jersey, where she founded and served as the Chair of the firm’s Global Immigration Practice Group. Previously, she was a partner with Fragman, Del Rey, Bersen and Loewy in New York.

Reed Smith’s Business Immigration Group assists multinational corporations and businesses of all sizes, as well as academic institutions in obtaining work visas or work permits for executives, managers, high tech personnel, researchers and professors. The group also handles issues related to employing foreign personnel, backlogs in obtaining visas, guiding clients through the procedures of the newly created Department of Homeland Security and its Office of Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS) in the United States, and the Home Office in the United Kingdom.

Ms. Storch has represented a range of international corporations including many of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. She has held numerous leadership positions in the immigration bar and served as an advisor to federal officials on immigration matters. A published author, Ms.Storch is a member of the Editorial Board of New Jersey Lawyer, the Magazine, and has written a column entitled “Global Immigration” for MOBILITY magazine. She is presently the Vice Chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, New Jersey Chapter. Previously, she served as a Law Clerk to the Assistant Attorney General, Legislative Affairs, US Justice Department and worked on the Immigration Act of 1990; she was later accepted into the Attorney General’s Honors Program of the Justice Department. Ms. Storch also served as a Corporate Trust Administrator with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company, New York City.

Ms. Storch presents frequently at conferences of organizations such as the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Council of International Personnel, Information Technology Association of America, Internet World and the Institute of Continuing Legal Education of New Jersey. She also publishes regularly on immigration-related topics. In addition, she serves as Chair of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s Advisory Board on Immigration Issues; is a Fellow at the Center for International Legal Studies, an Alumnae Fellow of the Center for the Study of the US Presidency; and is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the Executive Women of New Jersey Nominations Committee. She was recently chosen as a recipient of the Women of Distinction Award of 2004 by Executive Women of New Jersey. She is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey and the US District Court of District of New Jersey.

A 1990 graduate of Seton Hall Law School, Ms. Storch was a visiting student at Georgetown University Law Center. Ms. Storch began her legal career at Rodino & Rodino working with former Congressman Peter W. Rodino, Jr, former Chairman of the House SubCommittee on Immigration for over 20 years.
