CHARLOTTE (February 14) — Kilpatrick Stockton LLP today announced the addition of Shane Gunter and Julie Robertson to the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Gunter joins as associate in the Capital Markets Practice Group and Ms. Robertson joins as associate in the Litigation Practice Group.
Ms. Robertson will be concentrating her practice in complex commercial litigation. Her experience includes civil defense litigation such as medical malpractice, construction issues, products liability, and wrongful death. Ms. Robertson is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the North Carolina Bar Association and the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division.
She received her J.D. from Campbell University School of Law in 2001 and her B.A. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, 1997.
Mr. Gunter has significant experience representing banks and other financial institutions in connection with asset backed securitizations, real estate backed securitizations, leveraged leases, bankruptcy remote transactions and other financial structures. Mr. Gunter has advised clients on issues that arise under the Uniform Commercial Code. Mr. Gunter was previously associated with the firm of Richards, Layton & Finger.
He received his J.D. from The Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University, 1999 and his B.S. in Social Science from Gardner Webb University, magna cum laude, 1996.
