NEW YORK – 21 February 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Attorney Claudia T. Salomon has joined the global law firm DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP, where she will assist in leading the firm’s International Arbitration practice group in the U.S., the law firm has announced. Ms. Salomon will be Of Counsel in the Litigation practice group, and based in the New York office.

Ms. Salomon has managed complex investor treaty arbitration and international commercial arbitration cases under the ICC, LCIA, AAA, Stockholm, UNCITRAL, and Vienna rules. She has extensive experience working in Europe. Among her most significant cases, she coordinated the representation of the Czech Republic in an investor treaty arbitration and related international commercial arbitration under the UNCITRAL rules. The case involved over $5 billion in claims arising from the failure of one of the Czech Republic’s largest banks. She has handled all phases of U.S. federal and state court litigation, including evidentiary hearings, motion practice, emergency relief, appellate practice, and ADR proceedings.
Ms. Salomon also has published numerous articles and delivered many presentations about international arbitration, both in the U.S. and Europe. She is admitted to the Arizona and Virginia bars and as a foreign lawyer in the Czech Republic.
