NEW YORK, March 9 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network — Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, one of the world’s leading law firms, advised Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (GLK) in its agreement to merge with Crompton Corporation (CK). The transaction is valued at $1.8 billion, and will create the third-largest publicly traded U.S. specialty chemicals company.
