6 May – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Allen & Overy advised UBS as sole global co-ordinator, bookrunner and sponsor to IG Group Holdings plc (“IG”), owner of the UK’s leading spread betting firm, on its £220 million initial public offering. Admission to listing became effective on 4 May.
The offer was made to institutional investors, qualifying IG clients and employees. The offer included a secondary offer of £88 million shares sold by existing shareholders. The ordinary shares were priced at 120p per share, giving IG a market capitalisation of £393 million.
