At that same symposium, The National Center on Grandparents Raising Grandchildren presented a second award to Rick Horder “in recognition of his exemplary service to Grandparent-Headed Families.”
Since 2001, Kilpatrick Stockton has contributed 7,100 hours of pro bono representation through the Grandparent Adoption program, a value of just under $2 million, impacting the lives of hundreds of children and their caregivers.
“Our lawyers love working with the grandparents and grandchildren, and are so gratified by their roles in helping to create stable families,” said Debbie Segal, Kilpatrick Stockton’s Pro bono Partner. “Adoptions are such happy occasions, and we are pleased that Rick Horder has brought us the opportunity to help in this way. It is an honor to be recognized for such wonderful work.”
