US Legal News – Eric Eikenberg Joins Holland & Knight’s Public Policy & Regulation Practice in Tallahassee and Washington, D.C.

Addition of Former Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Charlie Crist Strengthens Firm’s Government Capabilities in Florida

TALLAHASSEE – June 28, 2010 – Holland & Knight is pleased to announce that Eric Eikenberg, former Chief of Staff to Florida Governor Charlie Crist, has joined the firm’s Tallahassee office as a senior policy advisor in the firm’s Public Policy & Regulation Practice Group. Eikenberg will co-lead the firm’s Florida Government Advocacy team with Senior Policy Advisor and former Florida Governor, Bob Martinez. Eikenberg will represent clients before the Florida Legislature and Executive Branch agencies and clients in Washington, D.C.

Eikenberg most recently served as Campaign Manager for Governor Crist’s U.S. Senate Campaign. Prior to serving as Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office, Eikenberg was Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor. He also served as chief of staff to U.S. Representative E. Clay Shaw, Jr. in Washington, D.C. where he handled an International Trade portfolio and issues dealing with the Ways and Means Committee on Trade; traveling to China, the Dominican Republic, Thailand and Vietnam highlighting international trade between the U.S. and host countries. Eikenberg also held the position of deputy executive director for the Republican Party of Florida in Tallahassee.

Eikenberg received his B.S. from the American University where he majored in Political Science and Communications, Legal Studies, Economics and Government.
