2 November – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Kemps, the 50 year old film and television directory, is launching a new website for broadcast and production professionals to buy, sell or hire used equipment.
www.kempsclassified.com will provide a global marketplace for used and pre-owned film, video and broadcast equipment – including cameras, lighting, audio equipment and vehicles. Officially going live today (1.11.05), it has already attracted over £200,000 worth of kit from companies such as Arri Media, Cinebuild and AMV Broadcast Sales.
All postings, whether from individuals or major industry suppliers, appear alongside each other and can be easily accessed free-of-charge, without registration. The site is fully searchable and – particularly for equipment that is often hard to come by – includes features such as a ‘wanted’ section and an option for email alerts about new listings. Photographs of each item on offer can also be viewed, where they have been supplied by the seller.

Adverts from sellers on www.kempsclassified.com are priced from £10 for 28 days, during which time they can be edited, removed or viewed for levels of interest. There is no commission on sales and one-off payments for ads can be made online by credit card.
