3 November – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Denis Brock, regional head of Clifford Chance LLP’s litigation and dispute resolution practice in Asia, is to return to the firm’s London office some time next year. Martin Rogers will succeed Denis in the role before the end of 2005. Both during the period of his transition back to London and thereafter, Denis will continue to be involved in the business of the Asia region, particularly with the firm’s practices in Tokyo and Shanghai, and the firm’s premier insurance practice in the region.

Denis Brock
Denis joined Clifford Chance in 1986 and became partner in 1995. He has over 13 years’ experience handling heavy commercial litigation and arbitration in London and Hong Kong in a number of different industry sectors. Denis first transferred to Hong Kong in 1987 and stayed for five years focussing on reinsurance and maritime disputes before returning to London. Denis then returned to Hong Kong in 1997 as partner. In addition to leading the litigation and dispute resolution group, Denis has led the insurance practice in Asia, which has consistently been ranked first by commentators. His practice now focuses on insurance, errors & omissions defence for accountants and lawyers, corporate litigation and China arbitration.
Martin Rogers
Martin has been based in Hong Kong and Asia for the last 16 years. He joined Clifford Chance from Herbert Smith in 2002, where he was a member of the firm’s senior management team in Asia. He co-leads Clifford Chance’s Asian financial services regulatory group and also practices in insolvency work, general commercial litigation and arbitration. His work focuses on advising the leading investment banks, major commercial banks, large corporates and regulatory authorities.
