NEW YORK CITY, June 14, 2006 – LAWFUEL – Press Release Service – Winston & Strawn LLP announced today that Christopher P. Giordano has joined its New York office as a partner in the corporate department. Giordano focuses his practice on private equity funds and their portfolio companies.
Giordano’s highly established corporate practice includes the representation of private equity funds in all stages of the investment process, including structuring, equity-sponsor buyouts, early and later round financings, growth-equity financings and liquidity events.
He has a wealth of experience representing private equity funds in connection with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, specifically leveraged buyouts and leveraged recapitalizations.

Giordano also represents portfolio companies in day-to-day corporate matters and advises their boards of directors, and represents private equity funds in connection with various shareholder rights matters. Giordano’s work has involved transactions in various industries, including technology, financial services, aerospace, industrial and health care.
Giordano began his practice as a transactions partner at the private equity boutique of O’Sullivan Graev & Karabell, LLP, which merged into the New York office of O’Melveny & Myers LLP in 2002. Immediately prior to joining Winston & Strawn he was a partner with Wiggins and Dana. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Roger J. Miner, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Giordano has delivered numerous speeches on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital financings, transaction structuring and other related topics to various legal, business and academic groups. He earned a juris doctorate magna cum laude from New York Law School, where he was an editor for the New York Law School Law Review, and earned his bachelor’s degree from Drew University.
