(Memphis, TN/June, 2006) LAWFUEL – Law Firm Press Release Service – Senator Howard H. Baker, Jr., Senior Counsel with the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been named honorary co-chair of a conservation campaign conducted by the Tennessee Chapter of The Nature Conservancy.

“The natural resources of this great state are among its greatest resources, and the efforts to protect them are critical to our distinctive beauty and experience,” said Senator Baker. “I am honored to be asked to serve in this capacity and welcome the opportunity to tell more Tennesseans about this beautiful state of ours.” Senator Baker is co-chairing the campaign with former Tennessee Governor Ned Ray McWherter.

“Saving the Last Great Places of Tennessee” is the largest conservation campaign in Tennessee’s history, with a goal of raising $14 million that will be used to expand conservation programs across Tennessee. The campaign, which has gifts in pledges of more than $10 million to date, will extend through the end of 2006.
