(NYSE: ILA), which operates natural gas and electric utilities in several Midwestern states, in connection with the closing on June 1, 2006, of the sale of its Missouri natural gas utility operations to The Empire District Gas Company, a subsidiary of The Empire District Electric Company (NYSE: EDE). The sale generated a base price of $85 million, plus an adjustment for working capital and other items.
