Alan Bryson, one of the firm’s London IP partners, is leaving Clifford Chance to go to the Bar. He will be joining Wilberforce Chambers in July. This will further strengthen Wilberforce’s specialist IP capability following the recent move to Chambers by Anna Carboni, a former Linklaters’ IP partner, to join Michael Bloch QC there.
“I have had many happy years at Clifford Chance but it is difficult at partner level to spend as much time as I would like on advocacy and similar work – the aspects of practice I most enjoy. Ever since I indicated to the firm that I was contemplating going to the Bar, they have been very supportive of the plan. This is a very exciting opportunity to expand further the IP capability at one of the top sets of London Chambers.”, said Alan.
