ATLANTA, Dec. 22 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network — King & Spalding, a leading international law firm, is representing GE Real Estate, a unit of GE Commercial Finance, in its $3.1 billion acquisition of Arden Realty, Inc., which was announced today.
Also as part of the deal, Trizec Properties, Inc., a leading real estate
investment trust, will acquire certain assets of Arden.
Under the deal, GE Real Estate will acquire 102 properties totaling 14.4
million square feet. The transaction is scheduled to be completed by the end
of the first quarter of 2006.
GE Real Estate is a leading global resource for commercial real estate
capital and has more than $35 billion in core assets. With 34 offices in 20
countries, GE Real Estate has been active in the commercial real estate sector
since 1972.
