Attorney Joins Winstead’s Energy And Environment Law Practice

LAWFUEL – Houston and The Woodlands, Jan. 15, 2008 — Daniel E. Vineyard, an energy and environmental attorney, has joined Texas law firm Winstead PC. He will be working in Winstead’s Energy and Environmental Litigation practice out of The Woodlands Office. Vineyard represents clients in state and federal (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act or CERCLA) cost recovery and contribution actions and he represents clients facing government enforcement actions under the Resource Conservations and Recovery Act (RCRA).

Vineyard began his legal career in 1984 working as an attorney for Chevron U.S.A. Inc., in the land department, Alaska division. He continued his work with Chevron over the next 17 years moving to the environmental unit and eventually the trial unit of the Chevron Corporation law department as senior counsel. He switched to private practice in 2001, working for another Houston law firm before joining Winstead this year.

A frequent speaker, Vineyard presents on various aspects of environmental law and litigation to several industry groups and audiences including the National Association of Manufacturers and the American Petroleum Institute. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and all courts in the States of Texas California.

Vineyard is a member of the American Bar Association; the Houston Bar Association; The Woodlands Bar Association; the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of California, and he is a Life Fellow, Texas Bar Foundation. He received his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
