BALTIMORE November 14, 2005 – LAWFUEL – The Law News Network – Ober|Kaler announced today that Raymond Daniel Burke, one of the region’s top construction lawyers, has joined the firm as a principal.

Mr. Burke, who has practiced law for more than 27 years, focuses on construction and real estate development law with a recognized expertise in matters relating to condominium and other multi-unit development issues. He joins the firm after a 25-year career at Freishtat, Burke, Mullen & Dubnow LLC, in Baltimore.

A Baltimore native, Mr. Burke graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 1974, and received a law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1978.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Burke became an Assistant Baltimore County Attorney. He joined McCormick & Co., the Hunt Valley, Md.-based spice maker, as a staff attorney in 1979 and worked in its real estate development arm.

In 1980, Mr. Burke became an associate at Freishtat & Sandler, which later became Freishtat, Burke, Mullen & Dubnow, LLC, where he developed the firm’s construction practice.

Mr. Burke is a freelance writer for The Sun in Baltimore and writes regular editorial comment and opinion articles. His work has also appeared in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Des Moines Register, and The Omaha World Herald.

Mr. Burke has been active in a variety of community organizations that include Leadership Baltimore County, the Baltimore Metropolitan Leadership Conference, the Community Assistance Network, and the Towson Development Corp.

Mr. Burke is a resident of Monkton.
