Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP announced today that prominent corporate/commercial lawyer Denis Boudreault will be joining its Montréal office.

“We’re delighted to welcome Denis to the Blakes’ partnership,” said Jim Christie, the Firm’s Chairman. “Blakes continues to attract top legal talent and hiring Denis further strengthens our growing corporate/commercial practice in Montréal.”

Denis Boudreault specializes in business law and financing, including public and private offerings, venture capital and private equity financings. He frequently represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, and in senior or subordinated debt transactions.

“Blakes’ Montréal office is only 18 months old and has already grown to 25 legal professionals,” said Managing Partner Rob Granatstein. “Hiring Denis is part of our ongoing growth plan for the Montréal office.”

Prior to joining Blakes, Mr. Boudreault was a partner in the Montréal firm Lapointe Rosenstein.

He graduated from the Université de Montréal law school in 1971, and was admitted to the Québec bar in 1972. He has spoken widely on various corporate and commercial law topics, and has been a guest lecturer in the MBA programs at the University of Québec and the Université de Montréal.
