The national law firm of Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (K&L) is pleased to announce the addition of partners Brian A. Ochs and Martin D. (Marty) Teckler, and associates Marc T. Foster, Anthony T. (Tony) Pavel, Jr., and Lori G. Galletto to its Washington, DC office. With these arrivals, K&L's Washington office has 138 lawyers. Ochs, age 47 and a 1982 graduate of Harvard Law School, comes to K&L from his position as an Assistant Director of the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC"), where he served since 1993. His practice focuses on investigations into possible violations of the securities laws, broker-dealer regulatory matters and other internal investigations and prosecutions. Teckler, age 57, served from 1984 to 1997 as Deputy General Counsel of the United States Small Business Administration ("SBA") and from 1978 to 1984 as legislative counsel for the SBA. He focuses his practice on U.S. Small Business Administration financing programs and other government guaranteed and non-guaranteed programs for small businesses, as well on the secondary capital markets involved with these financing sources. His practice also encompasses the formation of small business investment companies and venture capital funds. He graduated in 1972 from George Washington University Law School, and was a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP before joining K&L. Foster, age 28, concentrates his practice in the bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and litigation areas. Prior to joining K&L, he was an associate at Richards, Layton & Finger, PA, of Wilmington, Delaware. He is a 2000 graduate of Cornell Law School. Pavel, age 28 and a 2001 graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, will join K&L's food and drug group. He comes to K&L from the Washington, DC office of Arent Fox Kintner Plotkin & Kahn, PLLC. Galletto, age 31 and a 2002 graduate of American University's Washington College of Law joins K&L's ERISA and Investment Management practices. She was most recently an attorney at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation in Washington. Commenting on the arrivals, R.
