Boston, MA 8 November 2004 LAWFUEL – Law, legal, attorney, law firm news –Kirkpatrick & Lockhart LLP (K&L) is pleased to announce that Boston partner Lloyd Macdonald has been unanimously confirmed by the Massachusetts Governor’s Council as Associate Justice of the Superior Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was nominated by Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Throughout his legal career, Macdonald has served in the capacities of Chief of Special Investigations for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts and Chief of Aggravated Felonies Squad for the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. He held the post as Assistant Director of Harvard Law School’s Center for Criminal Justice, co-chaired the criminal law and procedure committee of the Massachusetts Bar Association, and served on the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Council’s executive committee.

Throughout his 14-year tenure at K&L, Macdonald has concentrated his practice on complex civil litigation, frequently with white-collar criminal dimensions. He has represented clients in a variety of matters in the securities and environmental enforcement areas, including market manipulation, insider trading and environmental crimes. He received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.
