SAN DIEGO (November 8, 2007) – Attorney Eric L. Lane has joined Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP, a prominent California law firm, in its business/corporate litigation practice group. Lane will be an associate in the firm’s Carmel Valley office.
Lane specializes in all areas of intellectual property law, with experience in patent, trademark and antitrust litigation. He also counsels clients on a wide range of intellectual property issues, including preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, filing copyright registrations, and providing patent invalidity and non-infringement opinions.

During the last year, Lane was an associate at Heller Ehrman LLP. Prior to that, he was an associate at Morgan & Finnegan, LLP, an intellectual property boutique, where be began to build his practice and knowledge of intellectual property law.
Lane, who is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, earned his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington University School of Law in 2002. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University. He is also on the legislative committee for BIOCOM, a premier life science industry association in Southern California.
