COPS Central California Annual Memorial Motorcycle Run Held

According to reports by Ehline Law Los Angeles County, the 6th Annual Central California COPS Memorial Motorcycle Run was held, with approximately 500 bikers. The motorcycle run covered 92 miles going as far as Millerton and was to help the families of fallen officers.

Saturday when the event was held according to organizer Leon Isaac the event keeps growing larger each year and this year was the largest so far with approximately 500 riders. The letters COPS stands for Concern for Police Survivors and the run is a way to assist the families of officers that fall in the line of duty. Isaac explained that they are there to support the families as long as they need the help and they financially help those who attend the Sacramento and Washington D.C. Memorials.

Sheriff Margaret Mims of the Fresno County Sheriffs Office also spoke of the significant of the Memorial Motorcycle Run. Mims also stated the Fresno County Sheriffs Officer had lost several officers in vehicle accidents and murders.Isaac who organizes the motorcycle run stated it is an emotional day for him after losing a son on September 8, 1997, Deputy Jeff Isaac of the Fresno County Sheriffs Office.

Each year when the event is held it is the organizations only fundraiser and 100 percent of the proceeds go to help the families of fallen officers in Central California.
