Milan – The Turkish Ministry of Health has retained DLA Piper Italy to advise it on the structure of the first ever PPP project in Turkish healthcare sector. The first deal, the Kayseri Integrated Health Campus, is worth €250 million and there will be three further projects launched in 2009. The total value of the four projects will be around €1 billion.
The mandate to draft the project and tender documentation was won after competitive bidding that included seven Turkish law firms.

The DLA Piper team advising the Turkish Ministry of Health is headed by Federico Sutti and comprises Litigation and Regulatory partner Giorgia Romitelli, Finance and Projects senior associate Francesco Ferrari and associate Alessandra Palatini. DLA Piper has been awarded the mandate in partnership with Actecon, a regulatory and anti-trust firm, based in Istanbul. The Turkish firm’s team is coordinated by Bulent Camlica, Sahin Ardiyok and Evren Güldogan.
