Corey Field, associate in the Litigation Department and member of the Intellectual Property Group at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, has recently been elected to the Board of Trustees of the Copyright Society of the U.S.A. and has been appointed to the organization’s Executive Committee.

The Copyright Society of the U.S.A. is the leading organization in the United States devoted to copyright law education. Its services include nationwide meetings and causes as well as publication of a scholarly journal.

Field concentrates his practice in copyright and entertainment law. He represents business entities and individuals in a broad range of intellectual property matters.

Field also serves as a Director of the American Music Center in New York City and was formerly a Director of the Music Publishers Association of the United States. He also serves as National Chair for Press and Publicity for the Copyright Society of the U.S.A., and is a Director of Astral Artistic Services, Inc. of Philadelphia.

Field received his J.D. in 2001 from Widener University School of Law and his B.A., in Music, in 1977 from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He also holds a D.Phil. in Music Composition from the University of York, England.
