Dentons Releases Second Global Impact Report

December 3, 2014 – LawFuel.com – Dentons today released its second Global Social Impact Report, an annual collection of the Firm’s work in communities around the world. All of the stories featured in the report – pro bono legal service, community volunteerism, environmental sustainability – serve as outstanding examples of how a law firm can harness its talent and resources to promote positive social change.

“Corporate social responsibility is an intrinsic part of our forward thinking culture,” Elliot Portnoy, Global CEO and Joe Andrew, Global Chair, state in the Report. “As a truly polycentric global law firm, we have the opportunity and responsibility to provide meaningful assistance to low-income individuals and disadvantaged communities across the globe. That is why we have written into our core strategy our commitment to making a positive social impact on the communities in which we live and work.”

The report highlights only a fraction of the Firm’s efforts. Across the globe, Dentons professionals regularly take time from their normal routines to put their skills, energy and creativity towards causes that benefits others.

“Because it’s who we are,” explains Ben Weinberg, Pro Bono Partner. “That’s what I tell people who ask why Dentons lawyers and professionals are so devoted to pro bono and corporate social responsibility.”

In 2015, Dentons looks forward to effectively collaborating with organizations, clients and one another to expand its involvement and make an even greater impact.
