Denver Shooting Continues the Curse of the Batman Movies

The Batman shootings in Denver continue a history of problems and the continued curse of “Batman” movies, which most recently saw the death of Heath Ledger, who portrayed “The Joker” in The Dark Knight movie.

The latest shooting in which at least 14 people were killed in a midnight shooting by a man, since arrested, will lead to further calls for legal and regulatory issues relating to firearms and other lawsuits that will inevitably follow the tragedy.

However it appears the Batman franchise itself is one that is marred by terrible incidents. Apart from Heath Ledger’s death in 2008, there has been the death of New Zealand special effects technician Conway Wickliffe after a stunt car crash in the same movie.

Morgan Freeman also seriously injured in a car accident while making the movie in 2008 and Christian Bale was in a prosecution involving alleged assault on his mother and sister.

The Telegraph reports that the Batwing vehicle was almost destroyed last August in an accident and other incidents continue to marr Batman as a franchise.
