DLA Piper today announces that it will be opening an office in Dublin, Ireland, alongside the hire of partner David Carthy. The new office will focus on the Financial Services, Technology and Life Sciences sectors initially.
David Carthy will join from William Fry, where he is a partner in the Corporate department and leads the firm’s Foreign Direct Investment and Life Sciences and Healthcare groups. He is also an active member of the firm’s Technology group. He specialises in transactional M&A, fundraising (both from a company and investor perspective), shareholder arrangements and public listed company work including IPOs, takeovers and rights issues. He regularly acts as lead outside counsel for many US and international companies expanding into Europe.
