There is as yet no word on details of a Freshfields partner who was placed on ‘indefinate leave’ this month.

The partner, Ryan Beckwick, was due to appear before the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (SDT) with an early stage case management hearing is due to take place Friday 26 April.

Beckwith, who was made partner at Freshfields in 2012. He studied law at Anglia Polytechnic University before going on to study civil law at the University of Oxford.

Freshfields have not commented beyond saying he is currently on indefinate leave. Beckwick is represented by lawyer Nick Brett.

The incident follows an incident involving Freshfields’ Paris boss, Herve Pisani, a year ago, who was accused of slapping a DJ at a cocktail party following an argument over the music being played. Pisani had allegedly said the unnamed DJ would lose his job if he reported the incident.
