Huckabee & McCain Talk Religion, Economics & Military

LawFuel – The two top polling Republican candidates, Mike Huckabee and John McCain are talking about key social, economic and religious issues ahead of the primary vote in South Carolina.

As well, John McCain is appealing to military veterans in the war on terror.

Polls show that McCain and Huckabee are the two, top candidates as their campaigns swing through the state. Huckabee has been accusing his opponents of paying too little attention to economic issues while also playing up his religious background.

A new MCClatchy/MSNBC poll shows Senator McCain leading the field with 27 percent support, two points ahead of Huckabee. It shows Romney and Thompson in a close battle for third place as well as limited support for former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Congressman Ron Paul.
