International law firm Allen & Overy and The College of Law are developing a bespoke Legal Practice Course for Allen & Overy trainees. Subject to it meeting the approval of the Law Society, the course will replace Allen & Overy’s existing LPC arrangements and is due to begin in September 2006.
It is intended that the new course will draw on the development work which has been undertaken by the City LPC consortium. The tailored nature of the course will ensure that training provided to future trainees will reflect more closely both the practice areas of the firm and the nature of transactions it undertakes.
