International law firm Denton Wilde Sapte has advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. on a syndicated loan facility for CJSC KazTransGas (KTG). The loan facility was originally for $125m but was well supported and significantly oversubscribed. As a result the facility was increased to $150m. DWS also advised ABN AMRO Bank N.V. in last year’s facility of $62.5m to KTG.

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. and HSBC Bank plc acted as mandated lead arrangers for the loan facility to KTG, which was backed by receivables due under a gas transportation contract between CJSC Intergas Central Asia and OAO Gazprom.

KTG is a gas trunk pipeline operator in Kazakhstan and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kazakhstan National Oil & Gas Company.

The Denton Wilde Sapte team was led by Banking partner Nicholas Grandage with support from solicitors Greg Potts and Philip Shaw in London, and Joel Benjamin and Sanzhar Serikpayev of the DWS Almaty office.
