McCaskill is one of only five attorneys in Raleigh with LEED Accreditation
RALEIGH (March 16 – LAWFUEL) – Kilpatrick Stockton announced today that attorney Jamie McCaskill has been accredited as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) by the United States Green Building Council (USBGC). Mr. McCaskill is one of only five LEED AP attorneys in Raleigh and one of only twenty in North Carolina. This includes Kilpatrick Stockton’s John Livingston who recently received accreditation. Only one law firm in North Carolina has more LEED AP attorneys than Kilpatrick Stockton.
The LEED Green Building Rating System is the widely accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. With this accreditation, Mr. McCaskill joins a select group of attorneys nationwide who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System. As a LEED AP, Mr. McCaskill will be able to advise clients on the regulatory requirements pertaining to green building and certification pursuant to the LEED Green Building Rating System and qualify LEED registered projects to earn one point toward certification, if a LEED AP is not otherwise on the design team.
Jamie McCaskill is an associate in the Finance and Real Estate Department of Kilpatrick Stockton’s Raleigh office. He focuses his practice in the area of real estate investment and development. Mr. McCaskill earned his B.S.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, magna cum laude.
