Law Firm Bryan Cave LLP Elects 10 New Partners

St. Louis, November 19, 2008 (LAWFUEL) – By a vote of the partnership, the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP (www.bryancave.com) has elected 10 new lawyers to partnership in the firm, effective Jan. 1, 2009. This brings the number of partners firmwide to 338. The new partners are:

Ryan S. Davis, St. Louis
Davis practices with the Corporate Finance & Securities, Technology, Entrepreneurial & Commercial Practice and Transactions Groups. He advises clients on merger, acquisition, divestiture and joint venture transactions, contractual matters, corporate formation and governance and general business matters. His clients include public and private companies and private business owners. Davis received his J.D. in 2000 from the University of Virginia and his B.A., cum laude, in 1997 from Duke University.

Susan H. Easton, St. Louis
Easton practices with Bryan Cave’s Corporate Finance & Securities, Technology, Entrepreneurial & Commercial Practice and Transactions Groups. She represents clients in the manufacturing and agribusiness industries, among others. She has experience with a wide range of corporate transactional matters, including formation of limited liability companies, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital investments, corporate formation and general commercial transactions and corporate governance matters. Easton received her J.D. in 2000 from Boston College and her B.A. in 1996 from Connecticut College.

Heather S. Esau Zerger, Kansas City
Esau Zerger practices with the Commercial Litigation, Labor & Employment and White Collar Defense & Investigations Groups. She has experience with all aspects of the litigation process, including representing clients before the EEOC and the DOL. She has handled ERISA matters and multiplaintiff cases. Additionally, Esau Zerger has experience in enforcement of non-competition agreements and trade secret litigation. She received her J.D., cum laude, in 1999 from the University of Minnesota and her B.A., summa cum laude, in 1996 from Bethel College.

Elizabeth T. Ferrick, St. Louis
Ferrick practices with the firm’s Class & Derivative Actions, Commercial Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations Groups. Her practice focuses on class action and commercial litigation. She has defended clients in consumer protection, warranty, fraud and RESPA class action lawsuits on the state and federal levels. She also represents clients in all aspects of complex commercial litigation. Ferrick received her J.D., Order of the Coif, in 2000 from the University of Arizona and her B.A., summa cum laude, in 1997 from Saint Louis University.

Margaret B. LaBianca, Phoenix
LaBianca practices with Bryan Cave’s Environmental Group. She advises clients on all aspects of environmental and natural resources law, including water rights. Prior to joining Bryan Cave, LaBianca served as a law clerk to Justice Frederick J. Martone. LaBianca received her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 1998 from The University of Arizona, her M.A. in 1995 from Columbia University and her B.A. in 1987 from Simmons College.

James D. Lawrence, Kansas City
Lawrence practices with Bryan Cave’s Class & Derivative Actions, Commercial Litigation and Product Liability Groups. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, and his experience encompasses all aspects of the litigation process. He represents clients in matters concerning breach of contract, fiduciary duty claims, enforcement of non-competition agreements, trade secrete litigation, product liability and complex class action defense. Lawrence received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2000 from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and his B.J. in 1991 from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Mark A. Paskar, Chicago
Paskar is a member of the Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Groups. His practice focuses primarily on trademark, copyright and Internet related matters. Paskar regularly counsels clients on a vast array of intellectual property issues and represents clients in litigation in state and federal court and in administrative proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also advises clients in the licensing and transfer of intellectual property assets and handles all intellectual property aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestures, initial public offerings and venture capital investments. Paskar received his J.D., with honors, in 1999 from George Washington University and his A.B., cum laude, in 1996 from Duke University.

Sarah Roe Sise, St. Louis
Sise practices with the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Group. She counsels clients on matters related to qualified retirement plans, welfare and fringe benefit plans. Additionally, she counsels clients with respect to executive compensation issues. Sise received her J.D., magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, in 1997 from the University of Illinois and her B.S., magna cum laude, in 1994 from Maryville University.

Richard J.A. Stewart, London
Richard Stewart practices with the firm’s Banking, Business & Public Finance, Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Creditors’ Rights and Commercial Litigation Groups. He has broad commercial and corporate experience, which includes projects in the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East. In recent years, he has acted on behalf of firm clients in numerous multijurisdictional disputes in both court and before arbitral tribunals in a variety of jurisdictions with particualr emphasis on Russia, the former Soviet Union and the Middle East. Stewart received his B.A., with honors, in 1997 from the Law University of Kent at Canterbury.

Jay P. Warren, New York
Warren practices with Bryan Cave’s Commercial Litigation, Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation and Labor & Employment Client Service Groups. His practice focuses on ERISA, employment and general commercial litigation, as well as employment law counseling and negotiating employment agreements. Warren has extensive experience developing litigation strategies and resolving employment disputes on behalf of management. Warren received his J.D. in 1977 from New York University and his A.B., cum laude, in 1972 from Yale University.
