Law Firm Luce Forward Associate Becomes A Certified Accredited Energy & Environmental Professional

Ariel R. Bedell, an associate in Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps LLP’s Climate Change and Sustainable Technology Practice, has become one of only a few attorneys certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

As a LEED AP, Bedell can assist clients in all phases of the green and sustainable building process. Her work includes rating system selections, navigating the certification process and providing counseling for rapidly emerging government regulations. In addition, Bedell’s experience and certification allows her to advise clients on issues such as the purchase and sale of real estate specifically related to green and sustainable practices, as well as disclosing real property issues including the TIC Syndication of sustainable buildings.

“We congratulate Ariel on obtaining the LEED AP certification and know that her newly acquired knowledge will benefit current and future clients who are receiving counsel from our expanding climate change and sustainable technology practice,” said Robert J. Bell, Luce Forward’s managing partner.

To become a LEED AP, building industry professionals must pass a LEED Professional Accreditation exam and demonstrate a thorough understanding of green building and the LEED® Green Building Rating System™. In addition to working in Luce Forward’s Climate Change and Sustainable Technology Practice, Bedell is also a member of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group.
