Tim Wang, Corporate (admitted in the PRC 1999) – focuses on capital markets, corporate M&A and non-performing assets. Tim’s experience includes being In-house Counsel at China Huarong Asset Management Company and as an associate at another international law firm. Tim joined Clifford Chance Beijing Office in 2006. Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Hong Kong

Candy Chan, Corporate (admitted in Hong Kong 2001) – focuses on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and direct investment. Fluent in English and Cantonese.

James Chapman, Finance (admitted in England and Wales 2003, Registered Foreign Lawyer Hong Kong) – specialises in project finance transactions including cross border infrastructure projects. Fluent in English and Spanish.

Teresa Chong, Corporate (admitted in Victoria, Australia 2002) – specialises in M&A, both public and private, including share and asset sales, joint ventures, private equity transactions and takeovers.

Hazel Law, Finance (admitted in Hong Kong and England & Wales 2003 and New South Wales 1999) – focuses on derivatives and structured finance, related aspects of loan, project, asset finance and securitisations. Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dauwood Malik, Finance (admitted in England and Wales 2002) – in addition to general financing and debt capital market experience, Dauwood specialises in real estate and acquisition financing, in particular gaming and lodging. Dauwood joins the firm from Deutsche Bank AG’s Global Banking Group in Singapore. Fluent in English and French.

Tim Sung, Capital Markets (aadmitted in California 2002) – specialises in US federal securities law, including Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings. Fluent in English and Mandarin.

Stefanie Willis, Finance (admitted in Hong Kong 2004 and England & Wales 2003) – specialises in restructuring, acquisition finance and project finance throughout Asia. Fluent in English and Cantonese.

Singapore

Josephine Law, Corporate (admitted in Singapore 2001) – specialises in funds and regulatory matters. Josephine advises asset management clients on the establishment, registration and marketing of funds and also financial institutions on regulatory and licensing issues relating to Singapore securities and financial advisory law. Fluent in English and basic Mandarin.

Tokyo

Matthew Truman, Finance (admitted England and Wales 2003) – specialises in leveraged finance and general banking.

Matthew Whittle, Litigation & Dispute Resolution (admitted South Australia and Victoria Australia 2002) – focuses on a broad range of commercial litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution. He advises large Japanese corporations on cross-border disputes and dispute prevention, and also international corporations with disputes in Japan.
