LAWFUEL – Law News Network – Law Jobs – Weil, Gotshal & Manges partner Laura Wilkinson will be honored with two awards recognizing both her professional achievements and her commitment to the community. Cornell University, S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management, has selected Ms. Wilkinson to receive its 2006 Wilbur Parker Distinguished Alumni Award.
The award recognizes Johnson School alumni who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement and commitment to their community and who embody the Johnson School values of mutual respect, collaboration, integrity and trust, pride and accountability, professionalism and investment in self. The award will be presented to Ms. Wilkinson by the Johnson School’s Black Graduate Business Association.
Ms. Wilkinson will be also honored at the 2006 Woman of Achievement Gala which is being hosted by Montgomery County, Maryland Business & Professional Women and co-sponsored by the Montgomery County Commission for Women. This award is being given to Ms. Wilkinson in recognition of her professional accomplishments as well as her dedication to mentoring young women as they develop their careers and her considerable efforts leading community service organizations working to improve Montgomery County.
