LAWFUEL – Law Newswire – Socialite identity Paris Hilton has been ordered by a Los Angeles uudge to return to jail on her drink driving violation as she was lead tearful and screaming from the court.
Hilton, released from her 23-day sentence by the LA Sheriff’s Department, was ordered back before Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer who heard representations from the City Attorney that the Sheriff’s Department had no right to order Hilton to serve the rest of her time on home detention.
The judge agreed and the handcuffed Hilton was ordered to return to the LA County facility from which she came.
The scenes of her arrival at the court were of a media mob of photographers, overhead media helicopters and police vehicles shuttling the distressed Hilton to the Court, before returning her to jail.
Late Thursday, the judge issued the order for Hilton to return to court after the city attorney filed a petition demanding that Hilton be returned to jail and to show cause why Sheriff Baca shouldn’t be held in contempt of court.
Baca does not have to be in court, and it was unclear who would represent the Sheriff’s Department.
