Lawyers Debevoise & Plimpton Advise New Zealand’s Rank Group On $2.7 Billion Deal For Alcoa’s Packaging & Consumer Businesses

New York – December 21, 2007 – Lawfuel.co.nz – NZ Legal Jobs & Legal News – Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising New Zealand’s Rank Group Limited in connection with its agreement to purchase Alcoa’s packaging and consumer businesses to for $2.7 billion in cash. These businesses include the Flexible Packaging, Closure Systems International, Consumer Products and Reynolds Food Packaging divisions of Alcoa. The products of the business include Reynolds Wrap branded and private label foil, wrap and bags.
